What is NAD?
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme of Niacin (B3) and is present in all cells. NAD is an essential coenzyme in the body that regulates cellular energy metabolism and mitochondrial function. The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell where energy is made and regulated. We now understand that mitochondrial health equals overall health. Increasing NAD levels results in more efficient gene transcription, energy regulation, DNA repair, gene expression, and cell signaling. Improving NAD levels is now considered the pivotal process for improving cardiovascular health, weight management, anti-aging, cognitive function and neuro-protection. NAD is the most important cellular co-factor for improvement of mitochondrial performance and energy. NAD increases energy levels, mental clarity, focus and concentration. It not only improves mood and memory, but eyesight and hearing as well. NAD therapy decreases pain, inflammation, cravings and withdrawal symptoms. And most importantly, NAD aids in anti-aging.
NAD fuels metabolic reactions. It is needed to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and amino acids. It enables our mitochondria to convert the food we eat into energy. NAD increases ATP, which is our body’s source of energy.
NAD plays a significant role in gene expression linked to age-related diseases. It turns off genes implicated in accelerating the aging process. NAD extends cell life and prevents neurodegeneration.
NAD also helps to restore brain functionality. As a result, patients have experienced increased clarity of mind, better problem solving ability, improved focus and concentration, improvement in mood, decreased anxiety and increased energy.
Unfortunately, NAD declines with aging. This hinders the natural repair mechanisms within the cell. Boosting your NAD levels will allow your body to heal itself better from injury.
NAD has successfully treated the following conditions: Migraines, Depression, Anxiety, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, PTSD, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and Addiction.
